| Job Summary: |
Establish and maintain a comprehensive plan of government and coordinate/disaster preparedness for ADOT. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) to EmergencyManagement (EM); Manage the coordination of Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Continuity of Government (COG) Plans; Supervise operations and provide cleardirection to the Division of Emergency Management executing the Arizona State Emergency Response and Recovery Plan (SERRP); Coordinate the Departmental OperationsCenter program; Serve as the principal strategist and steward of resources for ADOT emergency and disaster response to create agency-wide consistency; Assess thefeasibility and development of emergency management and the COOP for ADOT in coordination with other public entities. Develop and sustain an Emergency SupportFunction (ESF)-1 position for the State Emergency Operations Center.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

| Selective Preference(s): |
A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience in a field related to emergencymanagement business administration public administration project or program management systems and operations managementor management science. At least 5 years of experience in a full-time position leading and directing.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
