Job Description
I have a client located in Gastonia NC who is looking for an Estimator / Project Manager. This client is heavily involved in custom metal fabrication and is looking to hire someone ASAP. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in discussing this role please click Apply Now.
In this role you will be responsible for quoting and managing custom metal fabrication projects from estimate through shop release. This includes preparing accurate material take-offs and labor estimates reviewing drawings and coordinating closely with both customers and the shop floor. You will have regular interaction with customers prepare orders for release to the shop and work directly with the shop foreman to answer questions and track job status from start to finish.
Schedule:
Full-time Monday Thursday (7:00 - 5:30 pm)
This is a temp to possible hire opportunity and will work fully on site. Very limited travel if any.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a metal fabrication environment
Experience in estimating and/or project management within manufacturing or fabrication
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes including metal thicknesses and tolerances
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience performing material take-offs and estimating labor based on drawings and specifications
Ability to review and analyze CAD files to determine fabrication methods
Experience quoting projects and preparing work orders for release to the shop
Comfortable working directly with customers shop foreman and production teams
Ability to track order status changes and project timelines
