Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Tool Room Lead the tool room specialist will provide on-site customer service to students and instructors by filling tool and equipment needs checking tools in and out to jobs and cleaning and inspecting tools. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Check tools in and out as needed by learners and instructors.
- Inventory tools shop supplies and materials and audit periodically for accuracy.
- Send equipment out for refurbishment as required. Maintain thorough inventory recording and control systems.
- Operate powered and non-powered hand tools industrial shop equipment (e.g. drill press and table saw) and perform minor equipment repair.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) to four (4) years of tool and/or inventory stock control related experience.
- Familiarization with a tool inventory system such as Crib Master is a plus.
