Job Summary

GeneralCustodian -Truman Middle School

Full-time position 5:30 am -2:00 pm; 40 hours/week
Schedule: 12 monthsMonday - Friday
Beginning hourly rate:$16.83Subject to experience

Summary: Keeps the districts school buildings in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Other duties may be assigned.

Cleans and preserves designated spaces equipment etc in the building.

Classroom/Office cleaning sweep/mop/vacuuming of classroom areas trash removal restroom cleaning laundry outside duties-trash snow/ice removal.

Assists visiting public utilizing the facilities with directions within building and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment for events

This includes setting/take down of chairs tables stages tarps and other requested items.

Communicate with building administration on specific needs within the building.
Perform general maintenanceand minor repairs as needed. Keep custodial equipment clean and operational
Restocks disposable items and provideshead custodian with inventory usage and data.
Complies with district policies safety guidelines and chemical handling procedures.
Ability to multi-task manage priorities and respond to urgent needs quickly.
Ability to work and communicate with a diverse group of staff students contractors and community.
Overtime on weekends as needed to meet building event usage.
