The Raquel Zarin Internship Program:

Our internship program honors Raquel Zarin a beloved employee mentor and friend at the Ad Council. Raquel passed away in 2021 leaving behind a legacy of dedication integrity and excellence that continues to inspire us. She believed in nurturing young talent fostering welcoming environments and championing access to lifesaving resources. At the Ad Council these are principles and values we hold and hope that our interns will embrace and carry forward throughout their careers.

The Raquel Zarin Internship Program is a remote-first engagement and will run from June 1 2026 August 14 2026. All interns will be paid $19/hour and are eligible to earn overtime. Ability to work East Coast hours is required.

Job Summary:

The Campaigns & Programs team oversees all aspects in developing fully integrated public service communications campaigns. Key areas of responsibility include working with internal and external stakeholders including creative and media agencies tech media and marketing partners nonprofit philanthropy and government partners from the strategic planning phase through campaign production launch distribution and program evaluation.

To learn about the campaign development and evaluation process interns are fully integrated into the Campaigns & Programs team and are encouraged to attend both internal and external meetings as well as activities like remote or in-person film shoots and consumer research when possible.

What youll do:

  • Assist with the management of timelines and project next steps to keep campaigns moving forward with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with analysis and reporting related to social and website (and other digital products) efforts donated media and overall campaign impact.
  • Review industry and academic research on marketing trends and social marketing effectiveness.
  • Analyze competitive campaigns and programs.
  • Assist in activating and connecting internal cross-functional stakeholders including digital product management insights and analytics marketing and communications media strategy etc. to contribute to campaign and project success.
  • Collaborate with other Ad Council interns for a summer-long project to identify the next pressing social issue to become an Ad Council campaign. The intern team will work through the end of the summer program to research develop and present a campaign proposal to the Ad Council staff.

What you bring:

  • A curious learner with a concentration in the social sciences communications or non-profit marketing & advertising.
  • Strong interest in social issues and passion for making an impact
  • Interest in social impact marketing and advertising
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to encouraging diverse and unique perspectives in creative work
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel Teams) and Canva.
  • Understanding of social media marketing.
  • Team player and independent worker.
