Hardware Technician (Control Equipment) to provide hands-on electronic technical support to production and repair environments. The role focuses on PCB-level troubleshooting testing repair centre support and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electronics technical support to production and repair centres
- Troubleshoot PCBs and components down to component level
- Maintain and improve test jigs test equipment and testing processes
- Manage and support control equipment repair centre activities
- Execute TPM on all test equipment
- Analyse faults maintain fault databases and compile quality reports
- Coach and support repair technicians
- Liaise with engineering quality production subcontractors and product support teams
- Reduce repair turnaround time while maintaining quality
- Provide field support locally and internationally when required
Minimum Requirements
- in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent)
- 35 years experience in electronic technical support at PCB/component level
- Strong experience in digital and analogue electronics
- Proven PCB fault-finding using schematics layouts and lab equipment
- In-depth knowledge of electronics assembly and testing procedures
- Working knowledge of C programming for test platforms and data capture
- Experience with PCB design tools (Altium PCAD or similar) advantageous
