Position: Senior Quality Engineer

Job Summary
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that automotive products and processes meet customer regulatory and internal quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle. This role leads quality planning problem-solving and continuous improvement activities while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new or transferred product launches and engineering changes.

Review and approve PPAP documentation in compliance with customer-specific requirements.
-
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 ISO 9001 and applicable automotive standards and customer-specific requirements.

Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods (8D 5 Why Ishikawa etc.).
-
Lead and participate in PFMEA reviews to identify and mitigate quality risks.
-
Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
-
Support internal audits (process product audit and requalification) and customer audits; act as a quality representative during customer visits.
-
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering purchasing and suppliers to resolve internal quality issues using correct approaches (e.g. QRQC).

Ensure effective implementation of control plans inspection standards and testing requirements.

Participate or lead Quality Improvement Projects (QIP) and work with cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
-
58 years of quality engineering experience in the automotive industry.
-
Strong knowledge of automotive core tools: APQP PPAP FMEA SPC MSA Control Plans.
-
Hands-on experience with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements (OEMs or Tier 1/Tier 2).
-
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
-
Experience working with manufacturing processes (e.g. assembly electronics molding).
-
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
-
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar quality certification.
-
Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
-
Prior customer-facing experience and involvement in product launches and 8D reporting.
-
Knowledge of automotive safety and regulatory requirements (e.g. VDA).
