Bluespirit is a leading airport service provider dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience for all passengers. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Passenger Handling Agent at our Vijayawada Andhra Pradesh location.
As a Passenger Handling Agent you will play a crucial role in providing a positive and welcoming experience for all passengers. Your main responsibility will be to assist passengers with check-in boarding and baggage handling while ensuring compliance with all airport security and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for providing accurate and timely information to passengers resolving any issues or concerns and maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist passengers at check-in counters boarding gates and baggage claim areas
- Check passengers tickets and travel documents to ensure they are valid and accurate
- Handle passenger inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Assist passengers with baggage check-in and handling including tagging loading and unloading
- Ensure compliance with all airport security and safety regulations
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information to passengers regarding flight schedules delays and other relevant information
- Coordinate with other airport staff and airlines to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for passengers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including check-in counters and boarding gates
- Handle cash and credit card transactions for excess baggage fees and other services
- Assist passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors elderly or disabled passengers and VIPs
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy baggage
- Fluent in English and local language additional languages are a plus.
