Job Summary
The Head Security is responsible for the strategic leadership planning and operational management of the organizations security programs both physical and digital. This role ensures the protection of people assets and information systems while fostering a culture of security awareness across all levels of the organization.
Reporting to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) the Head Security will oversee enterprise-wide risk management incident response regulatory compliance and security operations supporting business continuity and organizational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Security Leadership
Develop and implement an enterprise-wide security strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Serve as a senior advisor to the CEO Board of Directors and executive leadership on all security matters.
Lead strategic planning for risk management initiatives to protect company assets and ensure business continuity.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive cybersecurity program.
Manage data protection initiatives including encryption endpoint security cloud security and compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA CCPA).
Ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of all information systems.
Physical Security & Risk Management
Direct the organizations physical security strategy including access control CCTV surveillance and protection of physical assets.
Coordinate with facilities and legal departments to mitigate physical security risks workplace violence and emergency scenarios.
Identify assess and prioritize security risks developing actionable mitigation strategies.
Compliance Audits & Incident Management
Ensure compliance with industry standards security regulations and internal policies (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST).
Oversee audits investigations and incident response processes.
Lead responses to security incidents and breaches including developing testing and updating incident response and business continuity plans.
Liaise with law enforcement regulators and emergency services as necessary.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Build lead and mentor a multidisciplinary security team encompassing cybersecurity physical security and risk management.
Foster a culture of security awareness and accountability across the organization.
Collaborate with IT legal HR compliance and other departments to implement cohesive security policies and practices.
Communicate security risks incidents and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications
Experience
Minimum of 7 years professional experience in a security leadership role preferably in a complex organization or healthcare environment.
Demonstrated experience in both physical and cybersecurity management.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
Knowledge of security frameworks standards and regulations.
Ability to develop and lead security programs incident response and business continuity initiatives.
