Cost Accountant Manufacturing Automotive Industry
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience to support financial operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for accounts payable coordination cost analysis journal entries reporting and audit support while working closely with internal teams and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Accounts Payable invoices from overseas suppliers
- Prepare journal entries related to inventory sales royalties RMA and accruals
- Perform cost accounting inventory tracking and exchange rate impact analysis
- Create monthly payment schedules (ACH/Wire) and financial management reports
- Support monthly quarterly and year-end close activities
- Assist with external audits and financial documentation
- Maintain investment plans business request logs and budget tracking
- Support ERP reporting and cross-train with the accounting team as needed
- Act as liaison for Japanese coordinators and assist with administrative support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (required)
- 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP Oracle NetSuite Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience supporting audits variance analysis and financial reporting
Preferred Experience
- Automotive manufacturing industry background
- Inventory management and cost analysis expertise
- Experience working with international suppliers or teams
