Our client is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join their Louisville-based clinical this role you will be the frontline of care for patients undergoing life-sustaining hemodialysis treatments. You wont just be monitoring machines; youll be building long-term relationships with patients and playing a pivotal role in their chronic care journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Perform hemodialysis treatments including pre- and post-treatment nursing assessments.
- Clinical Oversight: Monitor patients during treatment assessing vital signs and responding to any complications or changes in condition.
- Access Management: Administer medications fluid therapy and manage vascular access (fistulas grafts and catheters).
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including Nephrologists and Dietitians to implement individualized care plans.
- Education: Empower patients and their families by providing education on renal diet fluid restrictions and treatment adherence.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active unencumbered RN License in the state of Kentucky (or compact state).
- Certification: BLS certification required.
- Experience: Previous dialysis experience is highly preferred but we are open to RNs with strong acute care or ICU backgrounds who are eager to specialize in Nephrology.
- Skills: Exceptional communication attention to detail and a patient-first mindset.
