Job Summary

What were looking for:

Client is currently searching for a Civil Construction Estimator to join their professional Project Management Team during a time of rapid growth. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in project estimation preferably in Heavy Highway construction.

Duties Responsibilities and Expectations

Bachelors degree in Civil Mechanical engineering or construction management required.
10 years minimum of Heavy Highway Construction experience
10 years of experience doing estimation work.
Execute take-offs of construction documents.
Reviews construction documents and understands the scope of work to bid using state and federal specifications.
Obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors for materials and labor as needed. / Prepare estimates by recapitulating material labor equipment subcontractor and overhead costs incurred during the life cycle of a project.
Develops and maintains company resource information on products vendors subcontractors government requirements etc.
Attend departmental meetings as required.
Help review bidding decisions for upcoming projects.
Communicate plans and contract terms to relevant parties.
Work with the project management team to manage financial aspects of projects

HCSS
AutoCAD
P6 (Primavera)
Estimating and Scheduling Software
Good written Verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team
Working knowledge of multiphases of civil construction
Good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the area
Field experience
Strong contracts & plan reading skills.
