In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform tryout inspection of castings forgings and machined parts as per component drawings applicable international standards and Fisher specifications and prepare comprehensive dimensional and visual inspection reports.
Review and approve material test certificates (MTCs) in line with relevant specifications and applicable national/international standards.
Identify and record inspection outcomes (Accepted / Non-conforming) for inspected parts and update the ORACLE system accordingly.
Segregate non-conforming parts into designated quarantine areas with proper identification and traceability.
Coordinate with GSC SQE teams and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tryout inspections.
Upload tryout inspection documentation packages to the QA Docs server on time.
Guide suppliers in performing PPAP at their premises.
Conduct system and process audits at supplier locations and ensure effective implementation of corrective and improvement actions based on audit findings.
Establish implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspection measuring and test equipment.
Lead and participate in measurement improvement projects including small breakthrough kaizens to enhance reliability and accuracy.

For This Role You Will Need:
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing processes including various machining operations.
Strong ability to interpret part drawings general arrangement drawings (GADs) customer specifications and relevant national and international valve and material standards.
Proven knowledge of inspection techniques for cast and precision-machined components ensuring accurate and timely data for informed decision-making.
Hands-on experience in operating and handling measuring instruments such as CMM 2D height gauge surface roughness tester and other general inspection tools.
Working knowledge and practical exposure to PPAP 5S Kaizen Poka-Yoke and problem-solving methodologies.
Sound understanding of GD&T principles including the application of position tolerances as per engineering drawings.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in preparing technical documentation and inspection reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelors degree or experience in engineering mechanical or related field with minimum proficient experience
- Basic understanding of GD&T principles including interpretation of position tolerances.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Skilled in handling basic linear measuring instruments such as vernier calipers micrometers height gauges bore dial gauges 2D Microhite and surface finish testers.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in CMM inspection and contour tracer operation.
- Basic computer proficiency for report preparation and documentation (MS Excel Word and PowerPoint).
- Awareness about EMS & ISO 45001 ISO 14064 ISO 14001:2015 ISO 9001:2015 procedures
