Description
The AI assists with the instruction supervision and development of students and the operation of the unit as directed by the Senior Army Instructors (SAI). Although AI primary instructor duties are usually associated with leadership education the AI also teaches all JROTC subjects. Academic administrative logistical financial support tasks and after-school activities are equally shared by all instructors as regular duties. Refer to the United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) Regulation 145-2 for more information.
Minimum Qualifications
Posses a minimum of high school diploma (an associate degree must be completed within 5 years of hire); be a U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officer (grades E6-E9) or Warrant Officer (grades W1-W5) with at least 8 years of cumulative honorable service; have retired or separated within the past 5 years or currently serve in the Army National Guard or Army Reserve; and be pre-qualified by the USACC as a JROTC instructor.
