The role includes teaching KS3 and KS4 alongside a KS5 specialism in your chosen science discipline.
The Role
Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Science department
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 teaching in your specialism
Leading curriculum planning assessment and quality assurance across Biology Chemistry and Physics
Line managing and supporting teaching staff and technicians
Driving consistently high standards of teaching learning and pupil outcomes
Supporting enrichment intervention and progression into STEM pathways
Contributing to whole-school leadership and improvement initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Science-related subject
Proven experience teaching Science up to KS5
Demonstrable leadership experience within a Science department
Strong curriculum knowledge and a track record of excellent results
High expectations for staff performance pupil behaviour and achievement
A confident organised and forward-thinking leadership style
