Role: School Caretaker (Evening Shift)

Shift Pattern: 3:00pm/4:00pm 9:00pm/10:00pm (MonFri) Saturday Mornings Contract: Full-time Long-term to Permanent
Are you a reliable hands-on professional looking for a stable evening role A well-regarded school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated Evening Caretaker to join their site team. This role is essential for the smooth transition from the school day to evening community use and ensuring the site is locked and secure overnight.
This is a Key Holder position with significant responsibility for the school premises during and after school hours.
Evening Lock-up: Responsible for the final security sweep of the siteensuring all windows doors and gates are locked and alarms are set.
Lettings Support: Acting as the main point of contact for external groups hiring school facilities (sports halls pitches classrooms) during the evenings and Saturday mornings.
Reactive Maintenance: Carrying out repairs and DIY tasks that are difficult to complete while students are in classrooms such as painting plumbing or furniture assembly.
Site Safety: Ensuring the site is clean hazards are removed and the premises are ready for the following morning.
Trustworthy & Reliable: As a primary key-holder punctuality and a high sense of responsibility are non-negotiable.
Practical Skills: Competent in general maintenance and repairs (basic plumbing carpentry or electrical knowledge).
Communication: Ability to interact professionally with school staff cleaning teams and members of the public using the site.
DBS: An Enhanced DBS is required (Wayman Education can assist with the application if needed).
