Job Summary
A high-performing sixth form in Reading is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Engineering Teacher to join its successful technical and vocational provision from April 2026. The Role
Teaching Engineering courses at post-16 level
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured lessons that link theory to real-world application
Supporting students with coursework projects and exam preparation
Monitoring progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised post-16 teaching qualification
A degree in Engineering or a closely related subject
Experience teaching Engineering at sixth form or FE level
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for student engagement progress and outcomes
A professional organised and student-focused teaching approach
