Job Summary
We are working with a high-achieving faith primary school in Enfield to recruit a diligent School Caretaker for a full-time temp-to-perm position. The school is seeking a professional who is happy to work a split shift and can act as a visible helpful presence on the school grounds.

The site is beautifully landscaped and requires a caretaker with a keen eye for detail to maintain its high standards. The staff team is close-knit and there is a genuine sense of mutual respect between the teaching faculty and the premises team.
The Role This position involves a broad range of responsibilities from porterage and furniture moving to managing the heating and security systems. During the morning shift (7am-1pm) the focus is on site safety and reactive repairs. The afternoon shift (2.30pm-6.30pm) involves preparing the hall for events receiving deliveries and final site security. The caretaker will be the primary point of contact for site emergencies and will work closely with the School Business Manager to plan long-term maintenance projects.
Requirements
Skills: Practical DIY skills and a basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Reliability: Exceptional time-keeping and a proactive approach to the to-do list.
Compliance: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK; the school cannot offer sponsorship. A valid enhanced DBS is essential.
