Job Summary

A highly regarded independent day school in Nottinghamshire is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and intellectually curious Teacher of History to join its successful Humanities department. The Role

You will teach History across KS3KS5 delivering a broad and well-sequenced curriculum that develops strong disciplinary thinking alongside detailed subject knowledge. Lessons are discussion-rich and analytical with a clear focus on interpretation source evaluation and extended writing.

At GCSE and A-Level pupils engage confidently with complex historical debates and outcomes are consistently strong. Class sizes are deliberately small allowing teachers to stretch high-achieving students while offering personalised academic support.

The department encourages enrichment beyond the classroom including lecture series reading groups and trips to museums archives and historically significant sites.
