Job Summary

We are currently seeking professional and energetic School Age Group Leaders for this location. Our School Age Group Leaders are responsible for general classroom management and supervision of students in our school age program. As a School Age Group Leader you will help students plan classroom activities help with mealtimes and clean up and ensure a safe and clean classroom at all times.

This position is preferred to have split shift. 7 to 9:30 am and then 2 to 6 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pick up Kids from nearby elementary school in academy Van.
  • Plan lessons for kids including homework help outdoor times and according to Kiddie Academy Curriculum.
  • Supervises students during all activities
  • kids safety is maintained during pick up as well as once arrived in school.
  • Counsels students when social academic or adjustment problems arise
  • Guides students in planning their classroom activities
  • Ensures that the appearance cleanliness and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained
  • Helps children with meal times and clean-up
  • Helps with all academy and classroom paperwork such as daily notes student accident reports and attendance reports
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings academy events and parent meetings as requested
  • Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly
  • Helps arrange the classroom into well-defined interest areas
  • Maintains family information board and other classroom bulletin boards
  • Communicates appropriate information to parents and maintains developmental profiles for children
  • Ensures that classroom medication schedule is followed
  • Helps plan and implement classroom events
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Plans for summer camp and activities during summer plans for field trips newsletter etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have four year of early childhood education or elementary school education.
  • Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents coworkers and management
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
