Job Description
Reporting to Contract Coordinator Contract Administrator will perform the commercial tasks including but not limited to the interpretation of contracts formal letter drafting administrative tasks and preparation of reports on various contractual/commercial matters.
Assist in the preparation review and management of contracts ensuring compliancewith project requirements and company policies and drafting contractual letters asneeded.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to the safety and health framework policies andmanagement system requirements and expectations.
Work closely and collaboratively with Contract Coordinator in the daily management ofcontractual/commercial matters.
Prepare regular reports on project progress financial status and contract performancefor internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in prepare for lead (as required) internal stakeholder and orclient/subcontractor meetings as required.
Prepare presentations and reports as required to support project activities andstakeholder communication.
Maintain organized and accurate records of all commercial activities including contractdocuments change orders and correspondence.
Assist in identifying and mitigating commercial risks associated with the project.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities to find new and better ways of operatingleading to increased effectiveness and efficiency. Create a supportive culture thatencourages innovation and improvement and a team that embraces change.
Perform clerical duties as needed including data entry filing and documentmanagement.
Liaise with internal teams contractors suppliers and clients to ensure smooth andeffective communication regarding commercial matters.
Support the Contract Coordinator with any other daily commercial/contractual activitiesas needed.
Required Skills and Competencies
This role requires a high sense of responsibility great attention to detail and interest inpursuing a career in the commercial/contract departments in the construction industry.
Bachelors degree in engineering law or a related field.
Up to 5 years of experience in a commercial or administrative role within theconstruction industry is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Visio).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively on a diverse team and fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks prioritize and pay attention to detail.
Ability to identify and analyze problems and provide solutions.
Ability to self-manage be solution-oriented be organized and be flexible.
Knowledge of contract management and financial principles is an asset.
This role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $75k$90kCAD with compensation determined based on experience qualifications and internal equity.
