MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW
- Salary: 40000 - 50000
- Location: Utrecht On-Site
- Contract: Initial 12-month contract with a strong intention to go permanent
- Junior-mid level
- Ideal for an ambitious enthusiastic and positive engineer
THE ROLE
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will support day-to-day production while also playing a key role in new product and process introduction. You will work closely with Production Quality and technical teams to ensure high product and process quality in a regulated (ISO 13485) manufacturing environment.
This is a varied role requiring both hands-on involvement on the shopfloor and analytical documentation and improvement work away from the line.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise and support the Production Manager to achieve the highest attainable level of product and process quality
- Support and implement product and production changes
- Organise and support the installation validation and monitoring of equipment and machinery including associated documentation
- Work with the Technical Department to optimise the maintenance management and operation of production equipment
- Draft maintain and improve work instructions and manufacturing documentation
- Play a key role in monitoring production and supporting processes to ensure consistent product quality
- Work hands-on with liquid materials focusing on:
- Flow behaviour and viscosity
- Machine efficiency and power usage
- Cost-effective and scalable production
- Analyse product and process deviations perform root cause analysis and implement CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Proactively initiate and support continuous improvement projects
- Perform end-to-end process analysis across the full manufacturing lifecycle
- Act as a key interface between production and the wider organisation
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a manufacturing production or process engineering role
- Exposure to regulated production environments (medical devices pharma or similar)
- Hands-on experience supporting production and process improvements
- Familiarity with equipment validation documentation and change control
- Comfortable working in a hands-on onsite manufacturing environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Knowledge of production techniques and manufacturing systems
- Affinity for using statistical techniques for process and quality analysis
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 or similar quality management systems
- Fluent in English (Dutch beneficial but not essential)
