Your role and responsibilities:
As a member of the Quantum Architecture team the selected candidate will work on various aspects of quantum error correction for Xanadus photonic quantum computer with a focus on decoding methods for quantum error correcting codes.
Basic qualifications and experience:
- MSc or PhD in Physics Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities/deadlines.
- Experience with classical and quantum error-correcting code constructions.
- Expertise in theory and implementation of decoding algorithms for quantum error-correcting codes especially in message-passing algorithms such as belief propagation and its variants.
- Demonstrated programming skills (include GitHub or similar on CV) and familiarity with version control software such as Git.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- PhD postdoctoral or industry experience in quantum physics or technology.
- Exposure to FPGAs or ASICs.
- Exposure to C/C.
- Expertise with Julia (preferred) or Python.
- Experience with decoding both CSS and non-CSS codes
This is for an existing position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location experience and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 120000 - 140000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
