Job Summary

Job Title: Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine / Internal Medicine)

Start Date: June 1 2026

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM 40 hours per week No weekends or federal holidays

How many shifts needed per month: Approximately 20 22 weekday shifts per provider (based on VA business days)

License: Current full and unrestricted MD/DO license in any U.S. state territory or DC. No history of suspension restriction or revocation

Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABFM or ABIM) BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) DEA registration NPI

Experience needed: Minimum 2 3 years of recent clinical experience in Primary Care (VA experience preferred)

Special Skills needed:

Proficiency in outpatient primary care management
Ability to manage acute chronic and preventive care
Strong documentation skills in electronic health records (VA CPRS)
Ability to communicate effectively with veterans and interdisciplinary teams
Fluent in written and spoken English
Familiarity with VA clinical standards quality measures and patient safety practices

Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks

Responsibilities:

Provide onsite primary care services to VA patients
Conduct patient assessments examinations and follow-up care
Manage and prescribe medications within scope of practice
Order and review diagnostic tests and document care in the VA EHR
Communicate test results and care plans to patients
Participate in required meetings quality and patient safety activities
Comply with VA clinical documentation and privacy standards
