Assistant Underwriter role

As an Assistant Underwriter youll gain hands-on experience in a relationship-driven role that blends analytical thinking with a customer focus.

- Minimum Starting Salary: $79500 inclusive of 12% Super
- Location: Sydney
About the Role:
Over two years you will gain exposure and build technical skills within our Vero Specialty Lines team gaining hands-on experience across the full underwriting lifecycle.
- Master underwriting: assess price and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance products.
- Build trusted relationships: work with brokers and clients to negotiate and deliver tailored solutions.
- See the bigger picture: gain exposure to claims legal and other teams to understand the entire insurance value chain.
- Grow your commercial acumen: manage real-world portfolios analyse risks and contribute to strategic decisions.
- Collaborate across Suncorp: connect with experts to create smarter customer-focused risk solutions.
Who can apply

- Completion of Higher School Certificate or equivalent within the last two years (2024 or 2025) with a minimum pass grade
