Job Summary

What youll do


  • Conduct routine and non-routine inspections on GSE trucks and servicing equipment to ensure safe reliable operation.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs across diesel engines electrical circuits and hydraulic systems; respond to assigned maintenance needs.
  • Maintain complete accurate records; use manuals schematics and diagnostic tools to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communicate equipment status to teammates and leadership; provide clear handoffs for the following shift.
  • Travel to other Quantem stations as needed to support operations.
  • Follow airline and QAS procedures; reinforce our mission values and purpose in day-to-day work.
  • Work safely and in compliance with applicable environmental laws and permits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • Age 18 with a valid Florida drivers license.
  • High School Diploma or GED plus professional experience.
  • Your own basic hand tools (screwdrivers hammers pliers volt meter sockets and wrenches up to 1 and up to 1/2 drive).
  • Comfort with day-shift schedules including weekends and holidays; able to travel for training when needed.
  • Ability to travel 30% or more each year.
  • Knowledge of fluids diesel-powered equipment and common tools-their use repair and maintenance.
  • Hands-on skill with manuals schematics and diagnostic equipment.
  • Diagnostic experience on diesel GSE used by ground handlers (tugs bobtails forklifts etc.).
  • Direct experience with electrical and hydraulic systems.
Preferred
  • CMMS data entry experience.
  • Background in fleet mechanic shop or dealership environments.
  • Proven electrical and hydraulics troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with GSE and/or mobile field service trucks.
  • ASE or OEM certifications.

  • Stand walk sit use hands for handling tools and parts; reach with arms; speak clearly and hear effectively.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 25 to 55 pounds or more.
  • Climb up to 15 feet to perform work.
  • Vision requirements include close distance color peripheral depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work setting
  • Outdoor conditions as weather dictates.
  • Noise levels can be excessive at times.
Travel
  • Short-notice travel to other QAS stations may be required.
  • 30% 40% travel annually; company vehicle provided for trips within a 6-hour drive airfare provided beyond 6 hours.
