Job Summary

Title: DS - Software Development Engineer Location: Remote or In Office (Seattle WA)

Role Summary

This role is for a Software Development Engineer who will design build and maintain components and services for Project Kuipers Customer eCommerce Services. Working within a global communications service environment the engineer will develop critical e-Commerce software on AWS infrastructure. The position involves collaborating with Satellite Networks and Security teams to implement best practices for an Internet service providers provisioning and operations.

Responsibilities

Design and implement communications components applications and services.
Partner with Satellite Networks and Security engineering teams to design relevant data models.
Collaborate with engineers to gather requirements design develop deploy and operate critical e-Commerce software.
Build e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure and implement software development best practices.
Develop code build CI/CD pipelines and create test automation.
Design dashboards for monitoring the health of systems.

Required Skills

Software Development: 4 years of professional non-internship experience.
System Design/Architecture: 3 years of experience with design patterns reliability and scaling.
Java: Professional experience with Java programming language MVC Frameworks and Java-based SDKs.
AWS: Cloud-native skills AWS tooling and AWS API Gateway.
API/JSON: Experience in API creation RESTful web services and JSON.
CI/CD: Experience building and managing deployment pipelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills

GraphQL: Knowledge or experience with GraphQL.
Financial Integration: Experience integrating Financial Application and Accounting solutions (e.g. Oracle).
Full SDLC: 3 years of full software development life cycle experience including code reviews and source control.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
