Expert BGP Routing and Traffic Engineering:

Core to architecting peering strategies backbone routing capacity planning and performance optimization. Hands-on BGP expertise (including IPv4/IPv6 ASN management) is non-negotiable for low-latency reliable traffic delivery at consumer scale.

Peering & Interconnection Strategy Execution:

Design and manage settlement-free/paid peering PNIs transit and IXP connections. Requires proven ability to negotiate operate and troubleshoot interconnects while balancing cost reliability and security (e.g. RPKI IRR).

Hands-On Incident Response & Routing Security:

Lead troubleshooting incident response and enforcement of security best practices across interconnects. Essential for maintaining carrier-grade uptime in a high-stakes fiber broadband environment.

Settlement-free/paid peering PNIs and transit management.
BGP-powered backbone routing traffic engineering and capacity planning.
Expert incident response and interconnect troubleshooting.

What you bring

Required:

CCIE Routing & Switching (preferred) or equivalent hands-on mastery.
8 years ISP/broadband network experience.
Expert-level BGP IPv4/IPv6 ASN peering/transit.
IXP/private interconnect experience hands-on scripting.
Carrier-grade routing platforms (Juniper/Cisco experience a plus).

Preferred:

Consumer fiber broadband background (AT&T Fiber Verizon Fios Google Fiber Frontier Windstream etc.).
Anycast/CDN interconnects.
Network automation and telemetry tools.
