Overview
As a Lead Structured Cabling Technician you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the work site as well as provide excellent customer service. We are looking for career-minded candidates who are willing to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance and repairs by effectively troubleshooting cabling systems issues
- Identify track and remove abandoned cables
- Thoroughly test all newly installed or relocated cables following established procedures.
- Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards
- Develop in-depth knowledge of National Building Codes and standards
- Record time and materials used
- Assist other members of the team with installation and maintenance
- Demonstrate the ability to work in diverse environments including outdoor settings with varying weather conditions at heights and in small confined spaces.
- Operate hand tools power tools ladders and test equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One-year experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be able to pass drug and background screen
- BICIS preferred
- Manufacturer training preferred
- OSHA preferred
