Job Summary

Responsible for obtaining radiographic images of diagnostic quality while adhering to departmental standards and protocols under the supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist.

Schedule: PRN as needed

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
• 0-1 years required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required

Essential Functions

• Communicates effectively. Establishes and maintains two way communication with peers staff physicians leaders and administration.
• Cooperates well with peers and supports group decisions.
• Maintains a clear neat and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Seeks information/guidance from others as needed.
• Correctly identifies and uses appropriately personal protective equipment.
• Demonstrates population appropriate competencies for all relevant patient populations.
• Uses equipment safely adhering to policy guidelines and/or protocols set by the facility and department.
• Ensures that all procedures are properly ordered verified and acknowledged.
• Properly identifies patient before procedures.
• Performs radiologic examination using correct exposure and technical factors under supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist
• Positions patients for the proper view of affected area.
• Instructs patients on the requirements for the procedure(s) order.
• Routinely utilizes appropriate labeling.
• Marks films with left markers to identify side of patients.
• Completes mandatory exam entry fields in computer system.
• Charges for supplies through the non-procedural table and paper process if necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
