Job Summary

Introduction

A prominent force in South Africas renewable energy space is searching for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join their expanding tech team. This organisation is transforming the way solar power is managed and delivered leveraging intelligent technology modern digital platforms and a strong sustainability mindset to drive efficiency and wider access to clean energy.

In this role youll be instrumental in designing building and scaling high-performance software solutions using C# TypeScript and AWS. Youll contribute to mission-critical platforms that power real-world energy initiatives and help shape a more sustainable future.

Duties & Responsibilities

What Youll Bring:

7 years of professional software development experience

Deep expertise in C#/.NET including Core Web APIs EF Core and validation/mapping frameworks

Strong experience with event-driven and messaging architectures (queues topics async patterns)

Solid database knowledge across SQL Server and PostgreSQL with exposure to caching strategies

API-first development experience using OpenAPI/Swagger versioning and standard API design principles

Frontend development experience using TypeScript and modern React / frameworks with state management

Strong focus on UI performance accessibility and responsive design

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure

Infrastructure as Code experience using tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK

Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda EC2 API Gateway S3 and DynamoDB

Advanced PostgreSQL expertise including schema design and scaling strategies

Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2 JWT AWS Cognito)

Strong exposure to DevOps practices in cloud-native environments
