Nemours Childrens Health Florida is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to help shape and elevate pediatric primary care across Central Florida. This is a newly created role designed for an experienced motivated nurse educator who wants to own a program build something meaningful and redefine the care experience for children and families.

About Our Pediatric Primary Care Network

Nemours Childrens primary care practices deliver a family-centered kid-friendly care experience across Central Florida. With 20 primary care practices and three urgent care locations our teams emphasize preventive care wellness and long-term relationships with families.

The Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator leads education and professional development efforts that improve quality safety staff engagement and the patient experience across pediatric primary care practices. Operating in both clinical and learning environments this role translates evidence-based knowledge into daily practice and supports caregivers at every stage of professional growth.

This educator will also collaborate with peer clinical educators across the enterprise offering built-in partnership mentorship and shared learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design implement and evaluate education programs including onboarding competency validation continuing education career development and role transition.
  • Assess learning needs using data trends and performance metrics to guide curriculum development.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and critical thinking to support safe high-quality care.
  • Support clinical competency processes and participate in direct patient care to maintain practice expertise.
  • Partner with managers in interviewing orienting evaluating and developing clinical and clerical staff.
  • Provide regular updates to leaders and providers regarding staff development goals and outcomes.
  • Support AAAHC accreditation efforts and a culture of care excellence.
  • Influence change build new programs and foster lifelong learning within primary care teams.
  • Travel to multiple practice locations as needed.

Professional Practice and Development

  • Enhance the quality and effectiveness of care delivery through education and performance improvement.
  • Maintain current knowledge in nursing practice and professional development standards.
  • Model professionalism collaboration and lifelong learning.
  • Build collegial relationships across disciplines and advocate for patients families and care teams.
  • Integrate ethics evidence safety and cost-consciousness into educational strategies.
  • Communicate effectively through written verbal and electronic channels.

Qualifications

  • BSN required
  • Minimum six months of pediatric experience required
  • Experience as a bedside nurse with preceptor or staff training experience (NICU/PICU preferred)
  • Active Florida or multistate RN license required
  • BLS required
  • National Certification in Nursing Professional Development or a clinical specialty preferred
