Job Summary

Summary

The Sales & Distribution Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of ice cream and frozen dessert (FD) product sales and distribution within a designated operational territory. This role plays a pivotal part in driving business growth expanding market presence and achieving budgeted sales targets. The incumbent will lead strategic planning market intelligence gathering distribution network development and operational efficiency ensuring timely product delivery effective collection of sales realization and strong customer relationship management. By maintaining strict control over resources logistics and asset managementincluding deep freezersthis position ensures compliance profitability and sustainable business expansion across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business plans to achieve targeted revenue and market share goals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends providing timely insights to the reporting authority for strategic decision-making.
  • Identify gaps in marketing and distribution strategies and implement corrective actions in coordination with leadership.
  • Drive the expansion of the distribution network by identifying onboarding and managing new agents and distributors based on market potential.
  • Plan and execute targeted sales initiatives for impulse products including segmentation by SKU categories (Sticks Cones Novelties Cups PP/FP Bulk).
  • Promote scale and manage push cart operations to enhance point-of-sale visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Ensure daily collection of sales realization and timely recovery of outstanding amounts from agents.
  • Conduct regular reconciliation of stock supply records and agent accounts in coordination with Finance & Accounts.
  • Optimize utilization of human resources logistics and financial resources within budgetary limits.
  • Establish and maintain effective management and control over deep freezer assets including documentation deposits and movement tracking.
  • Monitor warranty and AMC schedules for freezer maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of agent indents with on-time distribution of products.
  • Oversee logistics planning to prevent product damage leakage and temperature compromise during transit.
  • Coordinate with production plants to align stock availability and product mix with market demand.
  • Organize and manage customer contract programs to strengthen agent relationships and drive performance.
  • Address agent concerns and customer complaints promptly and professionally maintaining detailed records for reporting.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in sales distribution or FMCG operations with proven success in target achievement.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics competitive analysis and distribution network management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams manage resources efficiently and maintain cost discipline.
  • Proficiency in sales planning inventory reconciliation and financial tracking.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing deep freezer assets AMC coordination and logistics oversight.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools reporting systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Territory expertise and network preferred.
