The Department of Internal Affairs (Te Tari Taiwhenua) is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of the AML/CFT National Strategy Programme. This is a unique opportunity to help improve New Zealands financial integrity and security.
As Programme Manager youll ensure the integrity coherence and strategic alignment of the AML/CFT National Strategy Programme. Youll establish and maintain a structured programme environment oversee multiple projects and drive initiatives that strengthen New Zealands AML/CFT regime. Your leadership will enable effective change and deliver tangible outcomes for the country.
- Develop and manage the overarching programme plan governance structures and reporting frameworks.
- Lead programme delivery ensuring projects meet scope time and budget requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams external stakeholders and partner agencies.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Oversee risk management financial controls and quality assurance across all workstreams.
- Proven experience managing complex project or programmes in government or regulatory environments.
- Strong knowledge of programme management methodologies (e.g. MSP) and financial oversight.
- Exceptional leadership communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to drive results across multi-stream programmes and foster a high-performance culture.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or programme management certification (desirable).
