- Coaching instructing and performing other duties assigned by the coach and or Athletic Director necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.
| | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | - Assists the head coach with planning and teaching student athletes the rules techniques and equipment to become a better track athlete.
- Assists and directs individual and group practice activities as assigned by the head coach.
- Monitoring student athletes during practices and competitions.

| EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE | - Previous coaching experience is preferred.
- Experience intrack and fieldand track and field techniques is essential.
| | KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES | - The coach must have completed or complete a mandatory coaches certification class under the Virginia High School League.
| | SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY | | | TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS | - Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neigboring localities.
