Southern Illinois University Edwardsvilles Department of English Language and Literature seeks a full-time non tenure track instructor to teach first-year composition courses. SIUEs first-year writing sequence helps students prepare for the complex writing and critical thinking tasks that they will encounter throughout college and later in their communities and addition the Department supports historically under-resourced populations with credit-equivalent courses designed for students who need additional assistance; these sections include writing labs.

Minimum Qualifications
Advanced degree (masters or higher) in English (or related area) that must be in hand at time of application and at least two years of teaching experience in composition.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate coursework in rhetoric and composition preferred.
