Your role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Resilience Officer you will lead the delivery of the core Suffolk Resilience Forum (SRF) programme ensuring the Forum successfully achieves the aims set out in the Suffolk Local Resilience Strategy and Annual Delivery Plan.

As a visible and influential leader you will champion the SRFs vision mission and priorities to staff partners and the wider public inspiring others by modelling shared organisational values.

You will help cultivate a culture that encourages innovation delivers value for money and maintains a strong outcomefocused approach to resilience.

Your responsibilities will include integrating Trailblazer workstreams into core activities producing the annual delivery plan and supporting a range of SRF working groups as required.

You will also provide direct support to the Chief Resilience Officer and oversee the Deputy Partnership Manager alongside coline management of the Trailblazer post holders.

You will need

  • Proven experience in successfully delivering change management within a multiagency environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain selfmotivated work independently and manage both busy and quieter periods effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a high level of empathy enabling you to work confidently with a wide range of partners and navigate complex workstreams.
  • Ideally experience in project management including the flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and changing timelines.

The team

The SRF teams core purpose is to support partner agencies in meeting the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act (2004). The team is hosted by Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.

Strategic leadership is provided by the Chief Resilience Officer (CRO) who oversees workstreams relating to community resilience communications climate adaptation data integration and business resilience.

The SRF Partnership Manager ensures trailblazer initiatives are embedded within core functions such as risk training and exercising. The Deputy Partnership Manager line manages the Risk and Resilience Officers and ensures core workstreams are delivered to a consistently high standard.

All team members participate in the SRF oncall rota providing support during major incidents in Suffolk and contributing to the Tactical and Strategic Coordination functions as well as the MultiAgency Information Cell.

Partnership activity primarily takes place during Working on Wednesday (WoW) days usually held at Police Headquarters. Tuesdays are team working days typically based at Endeavour House.

The team works 23 days per week in the office. Usual locations include Endeavour House Landmark House and Police HQ although work may also take place at other sites across Suffolk.
