Mechanical Engineer Theme Park / Large-Scale Systems
Location: Orlando FL On-Site Travel: Up to 35%
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design analysis and commissioning of large-scale mechanical systems for amusement rides and industrial automation projects. You will work on full system designfrom concept through installationensuring safety reliability and performance in fast-paced multi-disciplinary environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design analyze and implement mechanical systems for large-scale projects including theme park ride systems
- Perform stress fatigue load and failure mode (FMEA) analysis
- Conduct hazard/risk assessments and ensure compliance with ASTM safety standards
- Develop detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Troubleshoot and commission pneumatic hydraulic and mechanical control systems onsite
- Lead projects as a technical lead or Project Manager for $50K$250K projects coordinating engineers technicians and contractors
- Prepare system documentation test plans and maintenance/job plans
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Experience: 710 years in mechanical system design including full system design and field installation; experience with theme park or industrial ride systems preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; knowledge of mechanical system analysis software (e.g. ANSYS Abaqus) is a plus
- Strong understanding of mechanical components stress/fatigue analysis acceleration forces and ASTM safety standards
- Ability to travel up to 35% and work onsite at client locations
