Position Overview
The Sr. Electrical Estimator is responsible for full-cycle estimating and project management for industrial electrical projects. This role involves developing accurate materials and labor estimates analyzing blueprints and specifications preparing proposals and ensuring projects are delivered on time on budget and compliant with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate labor material and equipment estimates for industrial electrical projects
Analyze blueprints specifications and customer bid requirements to prepare complete proposals
Prepare RFQs secure competitive pricing and maintain supplier and subcontractor lists
Interface with clients and internal teams to manage project scope and requirements
Conduct cost analysis during and after project completion
Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with building and safety regulations
Track project costs including raw materials labor and equipment
Identify cost uncertainties and mitigate project risks
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a tradecraft certification
Experience
5 years of electrical construction project management and estimating experience
Experience managing industrial projects valued at $5M or greater
Technical Skills
Proficient with electrical estimating software preferably Accubid
Familiarity with project management and scheduling software
Intermediate skills in MS Office including Excel Word and Outlook
Other Requirements
Strong analytical and cost management skills
Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and project specifications
Excellent communication and client management skills
