About the role
The Accounting Operations Lead owns the delivery and quality of bookkeeping and accounting compliance for Vyssor and its clients. This role ensures records are accurate complete and audit ready. It also ensures VAT and Corporate Tax obligations are met on time every time.
This is not a transactional finance role only. It is a compliance execution and control role. You will enforce standards lead the accounting team and prevent problems before they hit deadlines.
Reporting line: CEO
Scope: Client bookkeeping oversight VAT and Corporate Tax filings internal accounting compliance team leadership process control tooling and visibility.
About you
You are structured deadline obsessed in a healthy way and allergic to messy books. You know how UAE compliance works in the real world not just in theory. You lead through clear standards tight follow up and calm execution.
You can manage a portfolio manage a team and manage risk. You communicate clearly with founders and non finance stakeholders without turning it into a lecture. You protect scope protect quality and protect the business from compliance surprises.
Top 5 objectives:
Bring full visibility to all client and internal compliance deadlines: Create or clean a single source of truth for VAT and Corporate Tax calendars filings and dependencies.
Raise bookkeeping quality to audit ready standards across the portfolio: Implement review routines checklists and minimum documentation standards. Eliminate recurring errors.
Stabilize VAT and Corporate Tax execution: Ensure every filing is prepared reviewed and submitted on time. Build a repeatable workflow with clear handoffs.
Standardize client dossiers and SOPs: Create consistent folder structures naming conventions audit trails and SOPs across client types and free zones.
Improve team execution speed without quality loss: Clarify roles priorities and escalation paths. Coach the team. Build accountability and reduce bottlenecks.
Other responsibilities:
Client bookkeeping and compliance delivery
Oversee and review bookkeeping for client entities based on client provided documentation
Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards VAT requirements and Corporate Tax obligations
Prepare review and submit VAT returns and Corporate Tax filings
Ensure records are complete consistent and audit ready
Act as escalation point for complex cases and technical questions
Ensure delivery stays within the agreed service scope. Flag scope creep early
Deadline and regulatory management
Own filing calendars trackers and status reporting
Proactively identify risks related to missing data delays or regulatory changes
Escalate compliance risks to management before deadlines are impacted
Maintain internal discipline around cutoffs and client input timelines
Internal accounting. Vyssor entities
Oversee bookkeeping and compliance for Vyssor internal entities
Coordinate AP and AR processes to ensure accurate reflection in the books
Prepare internal accounting summaries for management review
Apply the same standards internally as we apply to clients
Process and quality control
Own SOPs checklists and internal accounting guidelines
Maintain structured client dossiers documentation trails and audit evidence
Standardize workflows across different free zones and client categories
Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements. Automate where sensible
Team leadership and oversight
Lead and supervise the accounting team responsible for bookkeeping and filings
Assign prioritize and review work for accuracy completeness and deadlines
Support onboarding and training. Set clear expectations and standards
Drive accountability through consistent review cadence and performance feedback
Systems CRM and tools
Ensure consistent use of accounting software and CRM tracking
Preferably Zoho but equivalent systems are fine if you can adapt quickly
Maintain visibility over client status missing requirements and upcoming filings
Collaborate with operations or systems support to improve workflows and automation
Client interaction when needed
Join client calls when senior accounting expertise is required
Support the team in sensitive compliance discussions
Explain bookkeeping VAT and Corporate Tax topics clearly to non finance stakeholders
Main requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Proven experience in bookkeeping oversight and compliance delivery
Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax filing requirements
Strong attention to detail and reliable deadline management
Experience working with accounting software CRM tools and structured documentation
Strong written and verbal English
Comfortable working in a service driven environment with clear scope boundaries
Nice to have
Prior experience in an accounting firm corporate services provider or multi entity client environment
Experience leading teams and setting operating rhythms
Familiarity with Zoho ecosystems: CRM Books analytics automation
Audit preparation experience and strong documentation discipline
