YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE ON MARCH 3RD

SUMMARY

The Youth Apprentice - Production will support the production workforce in various spaces. The main objective of this role is to gain knowledge and understanding of the production industry. This role will be a hands-on learning experience while assisting in different production projects and process.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to beall-inclusiveand other duties may be assigned:

  • Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
  • Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart floor shelf etc.
  • Perform drilling sanding grinding and buffing of parts
  • Perform gluing taping filing screwing tightening and clamping of parts
  • Operate hand and power tools
  • Build and assemble subparts for the next assembly process
  • Apply measurement for proper alignment and attachment of parts together
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Check and review check lists work orders and schedules
  • Recognize the differences in parts and tools
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School/GED enrolled student.
  • Junior or senior standing
  • Must have reliable transportation.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to use and understand linear measurements Imperial and Metric Systems and proficient in reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

The followingrepresentsgeneral working conditions for this role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances.

  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise dust moving machinery or temperature fluctuations.
  • The role may require standing for extended periods repetitive motions lifting items up to 50 pounds bending kneeling climbing or using tools and equipment.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE)must be worn whenrequired.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
