Caretaker
Job Summary
We require a part time Caretaker for 4 hours per day (8.30-12.30 Monday to Friday) to oversee three Childrens Centre sites (Parkfield Hyde and Childs Hill). The successful candidate will be responsible for locking the buildings as required. The buildings are accessed by children and families on a daily basis so you will work as a member of a team that promotes an environment that safeguards and protects children.
You will work as a member of a large and diverse team which supports the professional objectives of the locality. You will ensure that grounds and buildings are maintained and promote safe working practices in relation to current Health & Safety
The pro rata salary will have a range of 17817 to 18340 per annum.
You will have previous caretaking experience with a good knowledge of health and safety at work; grounds work light gardening and building maintenance and an ability to operate domestic appliances and light industrial equipment. Ability to assemble small play equipment.
You will have previous experience of undertaking risk assessments be able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and have experience of managing contractors on site.
