Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic committed and motivated Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Dartford starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys upper Key Stage 1 and is passionate about supporting pupils during this important stage of their academic and personal development.

As a Year 2 Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum ensuring pupils are well-prepared for the transition into Key Stage 2. You will support pupils academic progress social development and emotional wellbeing while promoting independence resilience and positive learning behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
Assess track and monitor pupil progress effectively
Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEN and EAL
Promote positive behaviour and high expectations
Create a structured inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings planning sessions and school initiatives
Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have recent experience teaching in KS1 ideally Year 2
Be organised enthusiastic and reflective in practice
Have strong classroom management and planning skills
Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
