Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is now hiring Caregivers Home Health Aides (HHA) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Personal Care Aides (PCA) Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical home care to seniors and adults in Merrillville Crown Point Valparaiso Portage Hobart Chesterton and across Lake & Porter Counties.

Caregiver Job Duties

Caregivers will provide:

Personal care (bathing grooming dressing toileting transfers)
Companionship and emotional support
Meal preparation and light housekeeping
Laundry bed changes and home organization
Medication reminders (no medication administration)
Mobility and ambulation assistance (walker wheelchair)
Observing and reporting changes in condition
Using a mobile app for clock-in/out and care notes
Following safety and infection control procedures

Caregiver Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Preferred: 1 year of experience (Caregiver HHA CNA PCA DSP or facility experience)
Reliable transportation valid drivers license and auto insurance
Able to pass a national background check
Current TB test and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
Dependable patient compassionate and professional
Comfortable using a smartphone for timekeeping and communication
