Overview
Assisting Hands Home Care South Jacksonville is hiring CNA and HHA caregivers to support military veterans living at home. Caregivers provide respectful one on one assistance that helps veterans remain safe comfortable and independent.
Many of our veteran clients appreciate caregivers who value punctuality respect and routine.
You will work closely with families and when applicable VA connected providers or case managers to maintain routines and support each veterans care plan.

Responsibilities

Provide one on one support with daily living activities such as bathing grooming dressing and toileting
Assist with mobility transfers and fall prevention practices
Help prepare simple meals and encourage hydration
Provide medication reminders following the care plan no medication administration
Assist with transportation to appointments or errands such as pharmacy or grocery pick ups when needed
Provide companionship structured activities and supportive conversation
Maintain routine care notes through the caregiver app and report changes in condition such as mood appetite sleep pain or safety concerns

Requirements

Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide certification required
Current CPR certification
Valid driver license reliable vehicle and auto insurance
Ability to travel to client homes within the service area
Comfort assisting with mobility support and following structured care plans
Professional respectful communication with veterans and families

Work Location

Care is provided in person in clients homes throughout Clay County and surrounding areas

Compensation: $17.00 base per hour can be more depending on client care level
