POSITION: Junior High Principal
POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead and inspire our junior high school community as a dynamic Principal who fosters academic excellence student development and a positive school culture. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership for our campus while ensuring educational quality operational effectiveness and a supportive environment for students during these critical developmental years.
Instructional Leadership
- Champion high-quality instruction using research-based strategies to boost student achievement
- Mentor teachers through observations feedback and collaborative development
- Use data analysis to identify improvement areas and create targeted interventions
- Provide strong instructional leadership through consistent classroom walkthroughs and teacher coaching
School Culture & Climate
- Foster a safe inclusive environment addressing adolescents social-emotional needs
- Establish clear behavior expectations supporting student development
- Build positive student relationships during their middle school transition
- Support and grow teachers while creating a positive working environment that promotes professional collaboration and development
Administrative Management
- Manage campus operations compliance and budget aligned with educational priorities
- Serve as administrator on duty for junior high events
- Supervise and attend athletic events and extracurricular activities
Community Engagement
- Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with district leadership and community partners
QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Valid Principal certification/licensure
- Valid Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) Appraiser
- At least 3 years experience in an instructional leadership role preferred
- Demonstrated experience as a strong instructional leader in educational settings
- Minimum 3 years of successful teaching experience preferably at the secondary school level
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and middle school educational practices
- Familiarity with Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is helpful but not required
- Knowledge of Texas Education Code Chapter 37 (Student Discipline) preferred
