About the Role:
This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December2026. Resume review begins in January2026.
This rolesupports the development of oligonucleotide therapeutics by developing innovative analytical technologies.This role will develop andoptimizeanalytical methods on LCMS systems in the lab in Cambridge MA campus. This role will also support other relevant oligonucleotide studies using various instruments. This position requires adequate knowledge in analytical techniques such as UVLCand LCMS.
WhatYoullDo:
As a co-op you willworkunder the guidance of the managerto pioneer the innovationof analytical method developmentincluding but not limited to 2D-LC and high-resolution MS. Youwouldparticipate indesigning executingand documentingexperiments.Additionally you will testsamples analyzeand interpret data/results;writetechnical reportsand/or articles for publication;establishprotocols; attend relevant internal meetings to learn and report the development ofanalytical methods and learningetc.
Example projects may include:
Exploration ofinnovative optionsto solvequantitation challengeswith high-resolution MS
Advancement ofcritical impurity separation using 2D-LC
Who You Are:
Knowledge skills and abilitiesdesired.
Basic lab skills such as pipetting solution preparation centrifugation etc.
Proficiencyin good documentation practices data analysisreportingand review.
Understanding and hands-on experiencewithHPLC UHPLC LCMS and high-resolution MS.
Willingness to learn (new methods new modalities etc.)and ability todemonstratescientific curiosity and innovation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Toparticipatein the BiogenInternshipor Co-opProgram students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
Currentlyenrolled in an accreditedcommunitycollegecollegeuniversityor skills program/apprenticeship.
EducationRequirements
PhD candidate
Preferred majors/programs:analyticalchemistry biochemistry chemical engineering chemical biology etc.
Additional Information
The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidates current academic level and degree candidacy inclusive of Associate Bachelors Masters JD MD PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
