To serve as a professional staff employee of the Indiana State Police whose primary responsibility is to provideaccurateand complete criminal history records for the purpose of background checks.
Job Duties
- Assess input file organize and retrieve informationusing variouscomputer applications and systems.
- Review and entry ofcriminalarrests anddispositionsin the Criminal History system
- Access Prosecutor PortalDoxpopMyCaseandIClerkmailboxfor the entry and updating of dispositions
- Process Court orders
- Complete requests for FBI/NICS to include Restoration of Rights Gun Denials and Domestic Violence DeterminationsIDACS Certified
- Ability tooperateand maintain office equipment to includecomputercopier faxmachineandshredder
- Perform other duties asrequired
Job Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent GED
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Ability tomaintainconfidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to function independently with minimal supervision prioritizeworkand meet deadlines.
- Ability to proofread documents with accuracy
Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation. Applicants are asked to submit a complete work history. All applicants are required to submit copies of their high school transcript or GED certificate any college transcripts technical certificates and a military DD214 (if applicable).
