Position Summary
The Medical Assistant supports both front-office and back-office operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves direct patient interaction clinical support administrative tasks and collaboration with healthcare providers and staff to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Greet check in and room patients in a professional and welcoming manner
Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls
Obtain and record vital signs accurately
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
Administer vaccines per protocol and provider orders
Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Provide additional clinical and administrative support as needed
Maintain a collaborative and respectful working relationship with clinical and administrative staff
Support health education and outreach initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer proficiency
