Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced EDM Machinist to join our 1st shift in Santa Clara CA.

EDM Machinist Responsibilities:

Reviews work orders engineering plans materials specifications locations of surfacesand CNC EDM parameters to create parts according to customer blueprints and instructions
Monitors machine coolants lubricants oils fluids grease and fills as required and documents maintenance on Coolant Fluid Maintenance Log
Programs sets-up and runs CNC EDM equipment
Performs preventative maintenance of EDM machines as required
Closely monitors and adjusts operation of machines and/or tooling while regularly inspecting parts for conformance to requirements
Designs fabricates and/or provides support to manufacturing personnel for tooling cutters work holding fixtures jaws and procurements required to manufacture parts

Qualifications:

High school diploma general education degree (GED) or equivalent
5 - 10 years of experience in a precision machine shop environment
Experience working on at least two major types of CNC machines
Recent experience with programming CNC equipment utilizing CAD/CAM software systems
Must interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

Preferred Skills:

Training in basic shop and measurement math including linear measurement metrics algebra and geometry
Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus
